The riverside park and walk is an aspirational yet achievable concept to draw the community and visitors to the river. The currently murky tidal creek uses riparian planting to attempt to clean the water with the goal of making it swimmable. All additions are made with the key idea of using the water to bring people together, in and around nature. The aesthetic idea behind the design is integrating and exploring how the concept of weaving can merge land and water. Lighting is introduced, in part as a mechanism for introducing abstract tree like forms for local fauna to land and remind us who we share our spaces with.
